Square Peg Communications Receives R&D Funding For Space Technology Development

May 29, 2015

Square Peg Communications Inc. has received funding from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to assist with the development of a network simulator for third- and fourth-generation (3G/4G) mobile satellite terminals.  This will facilitate the development of new terminals and applications that extend the capabilities of 3G/4G terrestrial wireless systems to users on land, at sea or in the air.  The funding was granted under the Canadian Space Agency’s Space Technology Development Program (STDP).

“Proactive development of enabling technologies allows Square Peg to provide leading-edge solutions in a timely manner.  3G/4G technology is at the core of many current and planned mobile satellite systems and this STDP funding will position us to react to opportunities in the timeframes that our customers demand,” said Michael Gertsman, President of Square Peg.
