Michael Gertsman, President
Michael is one of the founders of Square Peg, and has overall responsibility for the business and operations of the company.  He has more than 25 years experience in the development of satellite-based modems and baseband systems, including hardware, software, and DSP design, and is a leading authority on the Inmarsat Classic Aero satellite communications network.

Michael holds an M. Eng in Systems and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.


 

John Bodie, Director, Product Development
John is one of the founders of Square Peg.  He has close to 40 years experience in radio and satellite communications,encompassing systems engineering, hardware development (digital, analog, and RF), digital signal processing, software development, and instrumentation systems integration. He is the technical authority for Square Peg's Physical Layer Tester product line.

John holds an M. Eng. in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada.


 

Richard Young, Manager, DSP Group
Richard has over 25 years experience in data and voice communications, including system design, DSP software  development, and software simulation.  His expertise ranges from multi-channel base station modems and codecs to airborne and spaceborne transceivers and low-cost battery-powered terminal equipment.

Richard holds an M.Eng. in Systems Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.


 

Michael Moher, Senior Systems Engineer
Michael has over 25 years experience in engineering of wireless communications systems, including system analysis and feasibility studies, physical and protocol layer simulation, signal processing algorithm development and evaluation, embedded programming, prototype and proof-of-concept model development, and RF testing and evaluation.  His work has covered a wide range of wireless technologies including satellite, terrestrial safety radio, wireless LANs, and wide-area WANs, and has included both open and proprietary standards and sophisticated signal processing techniques such as Turbo multi-user detection.  Michael is co-author of three books on wireless communications, has published numerous technical papers, and holds several patents.

Michael holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.
