The Antenna Diversity Measurement Project was undertaken for Inmarsat and the European Space Agency to investigate the feasibility of using arrays of omni-directional antennas in place of steered directional antennas for BGAN services.  The project involved developing a high-capacity multi-channel signal recording system (ADMS), carrying out extended recording campaigns on land and at sea, and analyzing the recorded signals to determine the channel characteristics and the achievable performance.
